Due to sheer numbers, it is virtually impossible to list all crochet publications in the English language. However, despite inevitable ommissions and overlaps, I have categorized them and made a start at providing bibliographical information about them, much of which is generally not available from easily acquired sources. Related to crochet , but spanning some of the categories listed here are bibliographies of Irish Crochet and Irish crochet freeform.

I recently started collecting these, so this list is just a start...
There are only a handful of books containing significant text on crochet history, but there are many books with short histories or histories on specific genres of crochet.
There are very few books with depictions of many crochet tools, however many books on sewing tools depict small numbers of these items. For information on actual crochet tools see my tools webpage.
