I live in Virginia, so most of the sites we have visited are relatively near home and many of them were found in Jasper Burns' Fossil Collecting in the Mid-Atlantic States, a book I highly recommend.
We have also visited sites in Canada, England, and Germany as well.
We have hunted beaches, streams, spillways, road cuts, railway cuts, defunct road-side quarries, refuse piles from active quarries, and have even visited an active quarry.
I have attempted to tell you about each site, what is found there, how one should hunt there, and the suitability for the very elderly, and the very young.
Additionally, I have included museums. The best way to learn what to look for is to visit nearby museums when one can.
