Photos to be added later...

Canada
Nova Scotia -- Joggins on the Bay of Fundy, a world-famous fossil area. However we arrived late in the afternoon, without information on the notoriously
dangeous tide schedule. Consequently we stayed close to the entrance and didn't find much. But it certainly is worth another visit!
Nova Scotia -- The other side of the Island, we found an unmarked public beach with numerous plant fossils.

England
Isle of Wight -- we found ammonite fossils, others have found marine fossils and dinosaur fossils.
Charmouth -- we "hired" a hammer to search for calcite ammonites, but in our short time there we didn't find any, but we did find small pyrite ones.
Whitby -- famous for Dracula, and fossilized jet, we found jet, but no Dracula.
Robin Hood's Bay -- Many belemnites and other marine fossils found here. A great place for children; they can even buy ice cream from the ice cream
truck that drives onto the uncovered rock during low tide.

Germany
Muhlhausen -- Many fossils here of ammonites and fishes, and probably many rarer fossils. I found ammonites and my husband found ammonites and coprolites
(fossilized fish poo). A great place for children; probably too hard for the very elderly to negotiate.

Solingen -- A world-famous fossil site. There is a wonderful museum here housing the first fossil archeopteryx (flying dinosaur). We went to the "hobby quarry"
and attempted to split (very hard) rocks, finding very few fossils here.
