Between 1909 until at least 1938 Mary Card was a most prolific crochet pattern writer, innovator, and entrepreneur. She published at least 8 books, numerous magazine patterns, and and many separate charts; on 3 continents. She is perhaps most famous for her charts. I am attempting to identify all of her publications and those publications written about her. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. Click here for all the bibliographic/publications information I have found.
The images below are: a couple of her books, Needlecrafts magazines with Mary Card patterns depicted on their covers, The Soldier Boy and Flags Appeal Giant Chart, and a bedspread made up using that Giant Chart. Click on the images for enlargements.
