QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:
Karen is a retired Central Intelligence Agency officer where she developed and taught contracting and 
computer technology classes, in addition to other Information Technology responsibilities.  She has had 
extensive training in graphic/sculptural arts, textiles, beadwork, needlework, glasswork, instructor-
training and public speaking.  She is a professional member of the Crochet Guild of America (CGOA) 
and has displayed textile artifacts from her personal collection, taught/demonstrated crochet for 
A.C.Moore, sold her crochet/beading designs, and researched/presented talks on textile history.
